For customers seeking data centre space for their own hardware we offer colocation space out of our data centres in both the Docklands and in Bracknell, Berkshire. Some standard specifications are listed below but we can quote for any particular requirement on request. Be aware, colocation is all about power these days! Power will be the key driver in determining how much space you need, so bear this in mind and of course do call to discuss your own likely power needs if you need help, as we can certainly look what typical draws we are seeing from other customers and compare with your own deployment.
Our data centre portfolio offers a wide range of options to cater for different power, network and geographic needs; call us to discuss which site will best suit your own particular situation and do read more about each facility in the descriptions below:

Datacentre Features
General
All the facilities we use are built to a general level of resilience known as "n+1". This means if the site needs four backup generators five will be installed so that should one unit fail full resilience can be maintained. Standard features are as follows:
UPS and generator backed power supplies
Raised floor
Multiple cooling units and sytems
Wide choice of network options
Highly sensitive heat and smoke detection
Ultra secure facility
Full 24x7 building monitoring
Key Features of each facility are as follows:
Telehouse North
Telehouse is the oldest and most established carrier independent facility in Europe, having opened in 1990, a full ten years before any others appeared. As a result it is the key interconnection facility in Europe, acting as a vital hub between the key European and North American networks. It is also the prime site for LINX, the London Internet Exchange.
Telehouse North appeals strongly to those customers looking for network choice and especially companies operating wholesale voice services as virtually every voice carrier has some point of presence in the building, thus allowing TDM connections to be quickly and cost effectively used (avoiding local loop costs) by in-building cross-connects.
The drawback of Telehouse North, as a result of it's age, is limited power availability, with the best we can offer being 10Amps per rack (2kW aprx) so the facility is not suitable for high power installations. However, its importance to the UK telecoms infrastructure is such that it has no-less than three incoming power connections, so it is very well suited to mission critical corporate applications as well.
Bracknell
Our facility in Bracknell was selected as it offered the best combination of physical or geographic diversity from the Docklands as well as strong network choice, with no less than 6 different networks on site.
Vitally, Internet access is not reliant on Docklands, so offering both physical AND network diversity to Docklands. This is a crucial point for us as we have found many facilities located outside London are actually reliant on Docklands for network access and so undermining one of the key benefits of the diverse location strategy.
Bracknell can support up to 10Amps per cabinet on dual A+B power feeds, though the site relies on only a single incoming power feed and single generator. Access is 24x7. Onsite support is during office hours only and at extra cost if used.
